FAQS

Budgeting helps you understand where your money is going, stay in control of your spending, and make informed financial decisions. A good budget ensures you can cover essentials, reduce debt, plan for goals, and build long-term financial stability.

Start by listing your monthly income and expenses. Separate your expenses into fixed (like rent) and variable (like groceries). Assign realistic spending limits, track your transactions, and adjust your budget as needed. Using apps or spreadsheets can make the process easier.

Set clear financial goals, create a savings plan, and automate deposits into a savings or investment account. Build an emergency fund first, then focus on long-term goals such as retirement or major purchases. Even small, consistent contributions can grow significantly over time.

Self-employed individuals generally pay income tax and self-employment tax, which covers Social Security and Medicare. You may also need to pay estimated quarterly taxes and meet state or local tax requirements depending on your location and business structure.

Most individuals and self-employed workers must file their federal tax return by April 15 each year, unless the date changes due to weekends or holidays. Quarterly estimated tax payments are typically due in April, June, September, and January.

Our team is happy to help you create a payment plan. You can also pay online, by check, or set up your own payment plan. If you owe taxes, be sure to file on time to avoid late filing fees even if you can’t pay the full amount right away.
