“FREE” is our favorite four-letter word when it comes to income tax preparation services. Other four-letter words we like are “PLAY BALL”; “BOWL GAME” and “FREE FILE PREP,” but we digress from the major topic of this week’s column — FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION.
In an earlier effort, we mentioned the Free File Program and the Free Fillable Forms configuration offered by the IRS. In addition to that pair of “no charge” choices, there are three programs that include guidance and help from certified IRS volunteers.
